Kristin Wiese

Kristin Wiese is a mother and teacher originally from Surrey, BC, though she has been fortunate to live and work in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications as well as a Bachelor of Education from Simon Fraser University, and is currently completing her Masters of Education through the University of Calgary. As a teacher she has spent countless hours coaching and running student clubs, coordinating the band program and the school's GSA, and volunteering for after-school events.

Kristin has always been passionate about giving back to her community and was introduced to One Plane Away through Northern Beginnings, along with Northern initiatives coordinated by RCMP members and their spouses. Kristin's two daughters also love to help put boxes together to send to their Northern neighbours, especially when they are sending items they have loved, too. In her spare time, Kristin can usually be found cozied up with a long book and a hot cup of tea.
