Pitter Patter Fun Run brings people together to support Nunavut moms and babies

Each year, community members come out to support One Plane Away’s biggest fundraiser of the year, the Pitter Patter Fun Run. Started in 2019 to raise money and awareness of the need for baby supplies in Nunavut, the annual Iqaluit-based event includes 5k, 10k and 25k runs and a free family walk. The 2022 Pitter Patter Fun Run saw 33 virtual and 24 in-person participants come out, raising $2,250 for Nunavut moms and babies.

In August 2023, we hosted a virtual Pitter Patter Fun Run. Registration costs were reduced to make sure as many could take part as possible. Participants were invited to decide the route, distance and mode of exercise that worked best for them. Whether they wanted to dance the day away or go for a nice walk on the tundra, it was up to them!

In a show of big community spirit, friends of One Plane Away from provinces and territories across Canada showed up for the virtual Pitter Patter Fun Run.
